Jonesboro, Ark. – Courtney White is a 24-year-old native of Wynne, Arkansas that has a passion for meteorology. Some may as ask, “Well how did you end up at Arkansas State, Courtney?” He wanted to be close to home for his undergrad. Meteorology has been a passion since the 6th grade for Courtney. While going to school, Courtney has a part-time job at Kroger where he is a cashier and a courtesy bagger. In White’s spare time he loves to go to sleep and eat because he doesn’t get much time to himself. His favorite professor in the Media department is Sandra Combs, Adviser of The Herald Newspaper. White had Professor Combs for Media Writing where she started calling him “weatherman” and they have created a great relationship ever since. Courtney expects to graduate in Spring 2018 with his Bachelor’s in Multimedia Journalism with an emphasis in Broadcast Journalism and then move to Florida to start his career and his family. In the future Courtney will be on the news delivering the weather to everyone’s television screen.
